thin

a shaking, aging rickle of bones,
walking with a limp from
lopsided build and frame,
talking lightly serious nonsense
in a voice too low to hear;

a build too thin, though well designed
and adapted to unstable ground,
to bear the weight of circumstance
and support all I have found,
alone.
